A Sonoma Sightseeing Sojourn...

Our daughter-in-law planned the most amazing day for us.  It couldn't have been more perfect.

We began our day in the darling town of Cloverdale, at Ruth McGowan's.Brewpub for their Cloverdale beers.
Next stop was a stroll through the quaint village of Geyserville (1851), known as the Wine Capital of Sonoma County.
The Francis Ford Coppola Winery was the most opulent vineyard we have ever been to and I wanted to live there- a truly special stop on our Sonoma Day.
Bocce courts and a swimming pool... what a place!
Francis puts it best, saying the winery is “a wine wonderland, a park of pleasure where people of all ages can enjoy all the best things in life – food, wine, music..."
While this is a winery, it is also a museum dedicated to the craft of Coppola the screenwriter, director and producer.  Note that behind us is a display case for Apocalypse Now.
After reluctantly leaving the vineyard, we continued on to the wonderful town of Healdsburg for dinner and Racer 5 beers at the Bear Republic.
This amazing day was a sojourn for all the senses and we delighted in so much of what makes Sonoma County famous.  What a day!

You guys sure know how to have a good time!
And your daughter-in-law sure knows how to dress! I always love her outfits.
I LOVE Coppola wine. It is a little pricey compared to my Trader's buys but well worth it.
