Do you Remember? A History of the South Shore...

Gathered in the Lodge at Camp Richardson, over 100 people turned out to see a panel of living legends gathered by the Lake Tahoe Historical Society.

Bill Kingman, Dave Wakeman, Betty Mitchell, (Joan Young- the program organizer), Patty Olson, Tom Celio and Margie Daum have lived here for over 300 years between them.   Oh and the stories they can tell.  We learned about the incredible Winter of '52, the peril of a lack of hospitals and doctors, the camaraderie amongst the small number of 'full-timers' and just how interesting, yet simple, life was here.
The evening flew by and so many questions were left unanswered!  We all eagerly await "Do you Remember?" Part 2.  It was an incredible glimpse into our history.

You always spend time with such eccentric and interesting people. I love it. I am sure there is much more to be learned about your little town...
Thanks for sharing!
