Final full day of fun...

We awoke at 5:30 AM because that's what fishermen do!  We spent the morning at Lower Blue Lake in the Mokelumne Wilderness.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit
of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

Within minutes, Christy had caught the first fish.
It was Free Fishing Day through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.  These Days provide a great, low-cost way to give fishing a try.  I was happy everyone caught something because all I caught was a rock and I lost my tackle.
Shooting followed fishing.  Recreational shooting has been a longtime use of the National Forests and Grasslands and what a scenic spot to be in.
This is a new Glock 23-  Note the bullet captured in the upper right hand corner of the photo.
Filleting was done but cooking had to wait.
Dinner was at Montbleu Casino for their always delicious 99¢ tacos and Margaritas.
Home, for horseshoes, laundry and then movies in pajamas, was the ideal location in which to concluded our spirited Independence Day weekend.  It was a well done celebration!
