Hikes, skinny dipping and Groveland...
Steve and I began our day with a hike to the dam on the river that runs alongside our campground- The South Fork Tuolumne River. Its isolated location, along with rising temperatures provided the perfect swim, au naturel (some photos just won't be on this blog).
We then drove to the darling and historic community of Groveland, the gateway to Yosemite for tourists coming from the San Francisco Bay area. It is also home to a great downtown with a park, shops, restaurants and the famous/infamous Iron Door Saloon, said to be California's oldest continuously-operating saloon. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Iron Door before strolling the one street town and heading back to camp.
Tonight begins evening entertainment for the Boudreau reunion. This should be something else. We have marveled at the wonderful camaraderie these 80+ family members share. It has been incredible to be a part of it all.
