Well our trip to Los Angeles, today, was not as rewarding as we had hoped.  We met with an official at the Consolato d'Italia and presented what we believed was a very thorough application for our Year in Umbria.

We were told that we were missing three pieces of documentation and had to make another appointment weeks from now and return with 'hopefully' the proper paperwork.

Needless-to-say, we left disappointed but the day began well.  Strolling Santa Monica and dining on a delicious Italian lunch made the day worthwhile.
