Baseball Game for Summer Solstice

We ended our first day of Summer, on a glorious evening (finally) watching Coeur d'Alene's American Legion Baseball team: The Lumbermen (LUMS).

The American Legion Baseball League enjoys a reputation as one of the most successful and tradition-rich amateur athletic leagues.
Today there are over 5,400 teams in all 50 states, Canada and Puerto Rico. How fun that there was a game happening here in Idaho.
The CdA Lums played the Lewis-Clark Twins in a doubleheader.

We only stayed for game 1 and it was an exciting one, with great skills, close calls, and a lot of showmanship. Sadly, the home team lost, 12-14. So dang close and so dang fun. We are so ready for summer!
