Fall Colors of Tahoe...

Our Autumnal day promised to be crisp (42°) and cloud free so we met up with Cyndi to be out in it all.

“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
― L. M. Montgomery

“Fall has always been my favorite season.
The time when everything bursts with its last beauty,
as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
― Lauren DeStefano
This precious bear cub was the highlight of our stroll. He was the youngest bear we have seen yet.

“I cannot endure to waste anything so precious
as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house."
― Nathaniel Hawthorne

“Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!”
― Humbert Wolfe

“I was drinking in the surroundings:
air so crisp you could snap it with your fingers
and greens in every lush shade imaginable
offset by autumnal flashes of red and yellow.”
― Wendy Delsol
Lunch was lakeside at Gar Woods Grill & Pier in Carnelian Bay. My delicious choice was the Teriyaki Salmon Salad: soy marinated King Salmon / arugula / avocado / Mandarin oranges / red bell peppers / red onion / cucumber lime dressing / crispy wonton strips. Yum!
This could not have been a better way to celebrate Day #9 of Steve's birthday month. I 💗 Lake Tahoe in all its seasons.

Such a cute bear! I would have loved to have seen one in Big Bear.
Enjoying the trees, like the bears, preparing for winter.
