Karen and Stephen live in northern South Lake Tahoe, in the area known as Meyers. They delight in sharing all their secret Nature locations with us and we are happy to tag along.

Our goal today was to gather the coveted Sugar Pine Cones before anyone else gets them all!


We had great success in getting some beautiful pinecones. And what fun to explore in a new environment.





The view was breathtaking, too. Bonus!

After our nature hike, lunch was on the banks of the Truckee River in Stephen and Karen's neighborhood. What a perfect picnic spot.
Also located in their neighborhood is this new, spectacular Little Free Library. Friends, pinecones, a picnic and books... What a pretty great day in Tahoe.
