Last year, we attended the Reno Rodeo with these horse loving friends and since we can't do that this year, we headed to Amacker Ranch to mosey around the horses stabled there.

Each summer, horses are moved from the heat of the Carson Valley to the coolness of this wonderful mountain property.

Since 2008, this sweet baby has been Jan's Baby. This was our first opportunity to meet her. What joy!

It has been years since I've fed carrots to a horse. Baby has tickling lips. So fun.

It was not surprising that Steve bonded with her, even without carrots. All animals love him.
