¡Hola from Spain! Cruise Day 7

For our first day on land, we decided to just stroll the quaint streets of Santa Cruz de La Palma. It was the perfect way to spend the day.

This Canary Island is called the "fair isle" because of its fabulous landscapes. It has one the the prettiest harbors, among the islands, and is very walkable.

Our first stop was to visit the Plaza de Espana, in the oldest, and most picturesque, quarter. With 16th century buildings, we were very impressed by its beauty.

The city is famous for its Balcones Tipicos. We delighted in the colors and fragrances. The weather has been cool so these scenic balconies made it feel more spring-like.
A visit to the market always reveals something interesting about whatever country one is in. La Palma's did not disappoint.

We were so impressed by El Castillo de Santa Catalina built in the 1500s. Crazy old and so well preserved.

Hopefully, these images will give you an idea of our unique day. Tomorrow we'll be exploring Tenerife. We will not be online, most likely, so I wish all of the mothers out there an amazingly Happy Mother's Day.

but a new way of seeing things.”
