A simple Mother's Day...

Since we wouldn't be seeing our sons for Mother's Day, Steve and I decided to go on a long walk through a meandering trail that had us landing on the Lake shore. We spent the morning enjoying a picnic, basking in the sunshine and ogling darling, pudgy babies.  It was an absolutely perfect way to spend Mother's Day... if you are without your own darling, once-pudgy babies!

Spring has come very early to Tahoe and we are taking advantage of the warmth and delighting in all the colors bursting forth.

What is a mom but the sunshine of our days

Wow. Your posts are like going down memory lane from when we lived in the mountains. I had forgotten about those pink flowers that burst up out of the leaves and pine needles, no leaves, no stalks. They were so pretty and sort of odd.
