Sammy Hagar and us at his Cantina...
Steve and I read, in our Tahoe Daily Tribune, that Sammy Hagar was appearing at Harvey's Casino to celebrate the 8th anniversary of his Cabo Wabo Cantina. We knew we had to be there.
What an incredible afternoon. Nicknamed the "Red Rocker", Sammy did not disappoint his numerous fans that were there in full force. The warm up band, Trivalve, rocked the newly remodeled place with instrumental surf music. Wow.
After Sammy sang Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" (originally sung by Robert Plant, ironically, Steve's only other star sighting), he exited his Cantina, via the bar, where we happened to be standing. The blurry figures, in the last photo, are Steve and Sammy shaking hands. Super cool.
