Different spin on "juice box"...
While shopping today, we found Botte di Bacco (barrel of Bacchus) and thought of all the years we had juice boxes at home for the kids. Leave it to the Italians to cater to adults' needs by creating a three pack, 1/4 liter each box, of pretty good red wine.
The clever name comes from Bacchus, the Roman name for Dionysus, the god of the grape harvest, winemaking, wine, ritual madness and ecstasy in Greek mythology.
Interestingly, Denise is French, originating from Dionysus. Bacchanalia anyone?
