Town's population increased 10%...

When one traipses through the Umbrian countryside, surprises are often found in the places one least expects.  Lunch in Capodacqua was one of those delightful surprises!

Capodacqua is a frazione of the comune of Assisi, pretty much in the middle of nowhere, whose population at the time of the last census was 40 inhabitants.  For a truly small town,
Ristorante Pizzeria's service was exceptional and the food, distinctive and delectable (an interesting side note about Italy, pizza is not traditionally served at lunchtime, which is a little disappointing when you eat at a pizza restaurant).  However, we all agreed it was a one of our better finds, as of late.  A perfect way to celebrate Antonia's birthday and kick off my birthday month.

That dessert looks scrumptious!
Meg and I ate at a great Italian food restaurant in San Marcos (Carmela's). All of their sauces, pastas, dressings and soups are handmade by the owners (which is hard to find here!).
