Snowy Tahoe...

If there was ever a winter to be a Snowbird this is the one. Defined as: snow·bird /ˈsnōˌbərd/ INFORMAL•NORTH AMERICAN a northerner who moves to a warmer southern state in the winter. And while we haven't moved to another state, the 450 mile distance makes it feel like we are definitely somewhere else (much warmer).

For those curious, this is a photo of our cabin from yesterday. This is the view from the street. We couldn't go home even if we wanted to!

To give you an even better visual of what life in Tahoe is like currently, this is my friend, Karen's, home during the summer.

This dramatic scene is her home now. The contrast is so striking. It is as if they are living in an igloo. Oh man, I hope all this snow helps the drought. Stay safe my Sierra friends.
