Safari Park Again (You Were Warned)

It has been almost three years since Lori and I went to the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park (March 2019). So much has changed since then but the Park remains a wonderful place in which to escape.

We arrived early and boarded the second departing Africa Tram to explore. There is no better way to view the most species in a short amount time.

After disembarking, we strolled the park.
We loved the Australia Walkabout and delighted in the three new joeys.

We then decided we needed to admire an area we had not been to together- the Old World Succulent Garden and the Baja Garden.
"You'll also discover the truth about an old misconception: All cacti are indeed succulents, but all succulents are not cacti. These gardens present you with a wide variety of species with fleshy, water-storing leaves and stems, such as elephant trees, boojums, and euphorbias, along with the well-known cacti."

In addition, the views are breathtaking.
We then sought out our favorite critters.

This guy, a peccary, was absolutely adorable to watch.
Our day was one of two friends catching up in a spectacular setting. Yes, I will not tire of this. Wow.
