SCRABBLE® Mention #40
In my 11 years of blogging, I have mentioned Scrabble® more than any other one thing. We have played it in numerous languages and in various countries. The game, and all things with the word SCRABBLE® written on them, are some of my most favorite treasures. When this tin o' fun, 'the milk chocolate edition', arrived in the mail recently (thank you, Barb), I was giddy.
After eating a delicious breakfast at Z Café in Bonsall, a half way meeting point, Karen and I unwrapped the fun and played a round.Karen beat me by a lot, though at the time I wasn't so sure about the validity of her victory.
She strategically place the word "CUD" on my 'S' from HAGS, giving her the triple score of 21 points. Neither of us was 100% sure if CUD could be pluralized but I accepted it anyway. Turns out, her win was deserved. Such simple, yet needed, fun.“The real test of friendship is can you literally do nothing with the other person? Can you enjoy those moments of life that are utterly simple?” – Eugene Kennedy
