Meyers Mountain Market...

This new for this summer Farmers' Market is absolutely delightful and the idyllic spot to connect with friends.

According to the PR, "The primary goal of our market is to promote a sense of community and a healthy way of life for Meyers residents and South Lake Tahoe locals alike. Of course, Tahoe visitors are welcome to join in on the fun! We are dedicated to bringing farmers right to your table, so we stay open rain or shine."
I absolutely love the sights, sounds and scents of a Farmers' Market.

One of the highlights was meeting a fellow Little Free Library steward. How awesome that she brings books here. I had a hard time dragging myself away from her adorable booth.
Having live music permeate the environment was pretty magical, too.
With several food trucks and vendors, it was hard to settle on what to eat for dinner. We all went our own way and then gathered at a shaded picnic table to compare culinary notes.

My choice was the Herban Truffle from Crêpe & Craft. This delicious Crêpe of sautéed mushrooms, crumbled goat cheese, crispy fried onions, and truffle oil was très délicieux!
Steve chose, and loved, the Pulled Pork Sliders from Betty's Balls- Tapas and Catering. What's not to love?... Three slow roasted pork sliders served with mustard honey BBQ sauce and coleslaw.

"By shopping at a farmers market, you support local agriculture,
which has a great many benefits. You keep farmers in your community.
You keep land from being sprawled with houses and shopping centers.
You have the experience of shopping in the farmers market,
which is the new public square.
You support a lot of values when you shop at the farmers market."
