Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge @ Disneyland

Bob and Annie offered us the unbelievable opportunity to join them at Disneyland and we jumped at the chance. It truly was an out-of-this-world experience!

I'm starting with my utmost favorite photo of the day! We photobombed the little Storm Trooper's picture and it was so worth it. I am cracking up just looking at it. So dang awesome!
Okay, so for those who don't know, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is a themed area inspired by the Star Wars universe, located within Disneyland. While mentally we knew we were in Disneyland, we really did feel like we were on another planet.
The area encompasses 14 acres and takes place within the village of Black Spire Outpost, on the wild frontier planet of Batuu.

Black Spire Outpost has become a thriving destination for those who would prefer to go about their business unnoticed—scoundrels, rogues, smugglers and, recently, whispers in the woods reporting sightings of individuals associated with the Resistance.

Amid this brewing conflict, sits an exotic outpost surrounded by a beautiful landscape dominated by the petrified remains of towering ancient trees. The modern village is built on the remains of crumbling structures built by a long-extinct civilization. Disney nails the illusion directly on the head! WOWZERS.
After a bit of exploring, we became thirsty for a taste of adventure and headed into Oga's Cantina, where bounty hunters, smugglers, rogue traders and weary travelers of all ages come together to refuel, enjoy music and conduct meetings—no questions asked. "With an expansive menu of exotic concoctions for young ones and adults, the cantina is a welcome rest stop before your crew’s upcoming galactic journey." Reservation are a must!

For those who have long dreamed of visiting one of the galaxy’s infamous watering holes, Oga’s Cantina brings that dream to life.
After fueling up at the Cantina, we were prepared to take control of the fastest ship in the Galaxy, the Millennium Falcon.

Here we were able to ride in the famous cockpit on a daring flight, with Annie as the pilot. The engines rumbled as the Millennium Falcon blasted off, pushing us back into our seats when you jump into hyperspace towards adventure. Along the way we faced danger at every turn.
And as always at Disneyland, the magic was in full force when the sun went down.

What a truly magical day with truly wonderful friends. I ❤ Disneyland.

imagination has no age,
dreams are forever."
