Women Enlightened: Osteoporosis

Once a month, our local Temecula Rancho Springs Hospital hosts a Women Enlightened luncheon. When I can, I enjoy attending these educational events. Where else can would come for food, friends and education?

Today's speaker was Gerald Oh, MD of Temecula Valley Neurosurgery, who discussed every woman's (of a certain age) least favorite topic- Osteoporosis.
The objectives of the presentation were to define and talk about the background of osteoporosis, discuss the implications of osteoporosis on an aging population, explore different treatment options, and briefly discuss osteoporosis and fall prevention.

And while I knew a great deal of the information Dr. Oh shared, I did gain some new knowledge, all easier to absorb in the company of friends and other inquisitive women. Believe it or not, this was a nice way to spend the afternoon.
