A Night of Glen Campbell...

After a trip to pick up Lori at the Sacramento airport (who's here for a long Tahoe weekend) we gathered our picnic dinner and headed to Valhalla.

When we learned that “RHINESTONE”: The Songs of GLEN CAMPBELL, performed by Andy Kahrs, was going to occur when Lori was in town, we bought tickets. We are all so very happy we did! WOW!
There are few better dining locations than this one- lakeside.

And what a show! For those who don't know, contemporary music legend Glen Campbell has tallied five Grammy Awards, three Grammy Hall of Fame honors, twenty -seven Top 10 singles, twenty-one Top 40 hits, nine #1 Country albums, and is a two-time CMA award winner. In June 2011, Campbell announced that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease – then went on to embark on a farewell tour. Campbell’s final album Adios was released June 2017.
Out of deep respect and admiration, rising star Andy Kahrs debuted Rhinestone: The songs of Glen Campbell in 2017, and has received enthusiastic reviews throughout its ongoing tour.
Not only is this 28 year old extremely talented, he is a really, really nice guy!
The Boathouse shows always have intermission at sunset. What an amazing performance by Andy and Mother Nature!

Rhinestone introduced us to the life and music of Glen Campbell. In addition, it gave us another fantastic performer to admire and follow. What a show!
