Connecting by the Sea...

While at Left Coast Crime, Karen and I received a gleefully large quantity of free books. Since she had flown there, I volunteered to deliver her literature prizes to her. She rewarded me with a scrumptious lunch.

We dined on the patio of the Beach Plum Kitchen where I had Thanksgiving on a waffle. Who could resist house-roasted all-natural turkey, stuffing waffle, cranberry relish & natural gravy? Not me. It was the perfect way to reconnect after our amazing weekend in Sparks.

Steve and I then made our way to Newport Beach and happy hour at Joe's Crab Shack.
We both had boat loving dads so it is always a memory evoker to be near the harbor.
Our day concluded on Balboa Island for a magical meander.

the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline,
no matter how many times it's sent away."
