After Happy Hour at the Beacon, we headed to the Lodge for an incredible evening of Tahoe history.
My newest role is that of publicity chair for our local museum. This was my press release for tonight's talk:
Join the Lake Tahoe Historical Society as it presents “How Did We Get Here?” Historian Dr. Dave Borges will help us all understand Highway 50 road improvements from Tahoe to Placerville and what you can still see while on the road. This exciting program will cover everything from Native American trade routes, over the Sierra Nevadas, to the 1859 Bonanza Road, tolls, railways and so much more.
