Public Safety Appreciation Day in SLT...

Having missed the entire summer of concerts at Lakeview Commons, Steve and I jumped at the opportunity to see live music and to say "thank you" to the men and women who protect our South Shore community.

Hosted by the City of South Lake Tahoe, there was the Cash Only Band (a local favorite), a delicious and free BBQ, a thank you card making station and blue ribbons to tie around the trees as a visual way to say thank you. It was a multi-agency event allowing us to express our appreciation to everyone who keeps us safe. Way cool!

Oh man, Steve just had to get his feet into the warm, for Tahoe, 70° Lake water.

Linda and Cyndi joined in and made it that much more fun.

I will never tire of scenes like this.

How wonderful it was to see the sunset in such familiar surroundings. It is good to be home!

As much as you enjoyed your epic trip, I can feel your heart soaring being back home in familiar settings with familiar people. And I love that the trio is still together - you, Steve and the tripod - even in shadows.

Yes, it's good to get away and enjoy new destinations but it is always good to get back home into your own bed.
