Our older son, his wife and her parents met here in Tahoe for a reunion.  This morning, we awoke, had breakfast and then hit the town- running!

First stop- fishing the Truckee River.

Next stop was Cabela's, the World's Foremost Outfitters.  While everyone shopped, Julie and I played Scrabble.  I think we were the envy of all the other wives who were forced to endure guns, fishing poles and camping gear!

We had heard about the store, Junkee, and I always wanted to go there.  Their philosophy, "Don't buy new, used things have more character! Our day ended at Great Basin Brewery for delicious nachos and refreshing beer.

We have wanted this coming together of the in-laws to happen since moving here.  Our first day has been relaxed and comfortable... a true family memory.
