What a difference a day makes...
Thursday and Friday were glorious days here. As workers did their thing in the cabin, we sat in the yard, reading in the sunshine.
As the sun warmed the soil, our yard was revealed to us.  We saw elements of design we hadn't seen yet.  We even think we saw the grass grow (it was an exciting day).
Then Saturday noontime arrived and brought a wonderful snow storm.
According to our trusted weather website http://tahoeweatherdiscussion.com/ "Reader Reports of 4-16 inches. Lake level did much better than forecasted as the snow levels dropped fast and the temperatures dropped below freezing by mid-afternoon."  This reader reports about a foot fell in our neighborhood.
We get some pretty incredible icicles and I delight in seeing them form.
There is a reason Sunday is called Sun- day in Tahoe.  It was the prettiest day yet and we oohed and aahed all over town.
There is something truly magical about Lake Tahoe:  the winds screaming their presence through the pines, the contrasts on an almost daily basis that keep us intrigued and the intense beauty the vistas afford.  I promised myself to never get use to Tahoe and to never take this pristine, peaceful place for granted.

You got SO much snow! One day does make a big difference.
Those icicles are incredible.
You two look as young as ever. And I didn't think a place would ever make you look as good as Italy did! :)
