International dinner with friends...

We awoke reflecting upon our meal last night, delighting in the opportunities of dining with such cultural diversity and international sounds floating about the room.  Our companions were:  the Italian Adriana (real estate 'goddess'); the charming Berliners Dagmar (travel agent) and Andreas (architect); the gracious English hosts, Laurie and Norma; and then us, the Americans who were so excited to just be included in the global extravaganza that is now our life.

Week 2 ended with fanfare and friends.  Can't wait to see what the next 50 offer!

It's only been 2 weeks?! Crazy!
Dinner with your friends looks fun! I can't wait to partake!
Yesterday we had Vietnamese food in Alameda. (Amazing.) And we had sake to drink...
seems like we are on opposite sides of the world! ;)

Tried to connect on Skype as gramma.... but Steve.Haerr isn't responding. I see in this photo you have a friend in real estate there. We watch the international home search show and hear the prices of property around the globe but not the details of other costs. Last week they had a couple that purchased a vacation home near Umbria and it reminded me of your stay there in an apartment. If you are looking at real estate for curiosity we would love to hear about property taxes there too and any other costs that are involved in real estate transactions there.
