San Diego with Deb from Charleston...

We picked up our friend, Deb, who arrived today from Charleston.  She works for Dan, at Nanoscreen (in last photo) who is my good friend Suzanne's son.  They are all here for the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening Convention.  It was a great opportunity to connect with Deb and introduce her to San Diego.

We did the mandatory trip to the Pacific for feet in the ocean.  Steve chose the beach in front of the Hotel Del Coronado (1888).  It was a glorious day to be in San Diego and this hotel is so iconic and pays such close attention to details they even have a team of hawks perched to keep the seagulls away.  What a unique experience.

Next stop on the Haerr tour was Old Town San Diego State Historic Park for margaritas, Mexican food, World Nutella Day and a bit of local history.  This park
commemorates the early days of the town of San Diego and includes many historic buildings from 1820 to 1870.

We thoroughly enjoyed sharing a delightful city with a delightful person.  It was a brief visit but promises were made for another time.

The Hotel Del is incredible. Great picture!
I didn't have any Nutella yesterday. Hmmm, sounds good right now.
I think Old Town is a must for San Diego newbees. Mmmmm mexican food...

The Nutella was so yummy, somehow it tasted better along the shore of the Pacific Ocean with wonderful friends! What an afternoon it was! Old town was so lovely and I will need to get back there to shop!
