Angora Lakes Resort...
Our Guest Season is currently very international. Steve's nephew, who is married to a French woman, lives in Spain. His sweet little family is visiting South Lake Tahoe with his Parisian in-laws. It is all très merveilleux. There were specific musts for their stay. First on the list was Angora Lakes Resort. This was a first for our younger son and his family.
"Angora Lakes Resort Day Use Area Essential Eligibility Criteria: We endeavor to offer a unique day use experience at Angora Lakes Resort, a historic Lake Tahoe front-country location. To safely enjoy the resort, visitors must meet the following essential eligibility criteria: Participants must have the ability to safely hike, bike or use other nonmotorized means (including with assistance of a companion) to go up and down hill at least a mile roundtrip over rocky, rugged, slippery, and sandy terrain, with obstacles up to 18” high, at 7000-7500’ elevations. There are no paved surfaces beyond the Angora Parking area."
We have four kiddos in tow. Thank goodness for my new Stand Up Paddleboard wheels!
Named for the Angora goats that were grazed here in the 1870s, our destination was built by the Hildinger family who have owned it since 1917. This was so perfect!
Photos do not do it justice.
Coffee here is a must. I love the fact that it is served in a French Press!
We arrived so early, I was the first person on the idyllic, glass-like lake. WOW.
With plenty of toys and wonderful weather, everyone spent most of the day in the lake.
Or on the shore watching everyone playing in the lake.

“Looking out over the lake,
I felt enveloped in the most peaceful,
loving utopia.”
