Great Gatsby Festival at Valhalla
This was the event I had been looking forward to with the most anticipation. An opportunity to dress up and be in the 1920s.
I have a lot of fun playing dress up. I discovered this dress at an estate sale, created the head piece and truly loved the outcome. |
I was escorted by a very dapper fellow. |
Kegan came up for the weekend and spent the evening strolling the Lake shore and gazing at the Perseid Meteor Shower. |
Because it was radio, Matt had to do the sound effects. This was a riot to watch. |
The Grand Hall was a spectacular setting for an evening meal followed by murder. It was interesting to watch the audience try to solve the crime. |
Steve got a little "Roaring 20s" action on the side with the talented actresses in the play. It was a very entertaining evening in a spectacular place. |
“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves
growing on the trees,
just as things grow in fast movies,
I had that familiar conviction
that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

All I can say is sheer perfection!
How fun...how often can you, as an adult, play dress up?! Love it!
