Creative with a Stamp Catalog

I recently received the USPS Philatelic Winter 2025 Edition. This fun catalog displays the current and upcoming stamps, and stamp-inspired products, which commemorate moments in our Nation's history.

I love to see what postal delights await me throughout. When one comes, I gleefully look through its colorful offerings and make 'wish lists'. When done, I recycle it. Today, I had the brilliant idea to repurpose it.

Every now and then I have a need to carve out some time, no matter how minor, to be creative. After Erin and I attended the Peanuts drawing class we couldn't quite understand why we loved the afternoon so much. Besides the camaraderie, there was more and she figured it out when she heard Martha Beck speak about anxiety. Martha asked, "Did you know that calm is not the opposite of anxiety? Creativity is!"
Creativity being the opposite of anxiety is so incredibly true. Today, as I cut out images of stamps and layered them upon notecards, I had not a care in the world. I was crafting.
What simple fun! It doesn't take much to make me happy.

and creativity will instantly fill it.”
