We are Fans of Robbie Williams
Currently there is a film showing, Better Man, that tells the life story of British music star Robbie Williams.
One description reads, "With electrifying visuals and a novel storytelling approach, this audacious musical biopic chronicles British pop star Robbie Williams' wild journey from boy-band heartthrob to solo icon. Director Michael Gracey fuses wit and emotion, spotlighting Williams' triumphs, struggles, and ultimate resurgence in unforgettable style."Steve and I thoroughly enjoyed this film while a majority of Americans have no idea who Robbie is and therefore just don't get it at all. Their loss!
We were introduced to Robbie Williams in the summer of 2000 while we lived le douce vie in Paris. For those who are new to us Haerrs, we spent 8 months traveling around Europe in our American motorhome. After driving it to Baltimore, we put it on a container ship where it sailed off for a month before arriving in Holland. During that waiting period we had to live somewhere and we chose Paris. It was in that apartment that we became fans of Robbie. His video of Rock DJ played constantly on MTV Europe and we were hooked.
Seeing this movie and hearing the music of that Summer in Paris makes all those amazing memories flood back. I am constantly surprised by life! What fun.
