Way Back Wednesday: Italy, 2003
From January 6-18, 2003, I joined a group of fellow travelers for an Italian Escape! The trip, hosted by teachers at Mt. San Jacinto Community College, was organized by EF Educational Tours. While Steve stayed home with the boys, I went abroad for twelve amazing days spent with some pretty amazing people.
It has been a little over twenty years since that trip and I've been trying to reconnect with fellow traveler Mary Ann for almost as long. It seems our paths crossed many times but we just couldn't connect... until today!Mary Ann and I spent a leisurely lunch reminiscing about the trip that caused us to meet, while looking at my scrapbook and delighting in our shared memories.
Her adult children were on the trip with us so I had the opportunity to learn about their wonderful lives, in addition to all the world traveling Mary Ann continued to do (she has just returned from 3 weeks in India). What an exciting, albeit long overdue, lunch date.

rather than miles.”
