Palm Springs Day in Photos...

We met Julie for our last Vintage Market, of this season. It was a gorgeous 85° day!

"People tell us there is almost too much to see at the Palm Springs Vintage Market. Retro and vintage items are everywhere, and having a walk through allows for a simultaneous stroll down memory lane."
"Antiques representing many eras are dotted around, as are upcycled/reclaimed items. The market is a wonderful place for the whole family to visit, and those searching for inspiration for home décor won’t leave disappointed."
There really is something for everyone...

I have never seen a Let's Play at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Popmatters website has a lot to say about it here. Wild.

Both Julie and I were in awe of this circa 1986 Disneyland Golden Horseshoe Plastic Cowboy Boot Mug. Julie worked there at that time and she actually took me to Disneyland that very year. What a memory evoker.

After the market we had lunch and then hit a number of antique stores. Oh what treasures can be found.

This was a first, a vintage Slinky, Neon Green Landline Telephone from the 1990s. Hysterical.
We said our goodbyes to Julie and headed through town for another friend connection.

Our Tahoe friend, Sharon, and her Simi Valley daughter, Erin, let us know they were going to be in Palm Springs on the same weekend we were. I was delighted that their schedule had an opening for us to meet for lunch. Erin chose our spot- what a fantastic location!
"At Escena, you’ll find the ideal blend of scenery, style, location and accessibility. The Escena Golf Club and the Escena Lounge & Grill, which are open to the public, are consistently ranked among the most popular destinations in Palm Springs."
"Originally opened in 2005, Escena Golf Club was the first new public golf course in Palm Springs since the early 1990s, and it remains the most recent addition. Crafted by Nicklaus Design, Escena perennially ranks among the Coachella Valley’s top public golf courses. In 2009 the Escena Grill opened, and immediately became a dining destination in its own right. With easy accessibility from Palm Springs International Airport, downtown Palm Springs and the rest of the valley, Escena is proud of the active role it plays in serving locals and visitors alike."
A lovely lunch with wonderful company, and a breathtaking view, our Palm Springs day concluded in the most perfect way! I don't know when we will be back to this desert oasis so I am quite happy for the memories made today!
