We were intrigued by the theme of tonight's forum:  Community, Environment and Economy- Creating the mosaic towards prosperity.

We began the evening in the atrium of the Embassy Suites for a lovely reception. It was a gathering of who's who in South Lake Tahoe.

Seventeen leaders of business, government, education, transportation, recreation, and healthcare shared their plans, ideas and projects that are focused on economic revitalization on the South Shore.  The forum was all about connecting the dots between projects that are moving Tahoe toward prosperity.  The feeling was one of hopefulness, and for me, pride.  There are some incredible plans in the works.

After the presentations, we were asked to work in our table group to determine what were the 'missing pieces' in the plan that was proposed.  We were at a pretty impressive table of movers and shakers.  After all was said and done, we took away even more enthusiasm for Lake Tahoe and a stronger confirmation that our decision to move here was a wise one.
