Live at Lakeview: It's Officially Summer

This exceptional Thursday night concert series, Live at Lakeview, began the first summer we moved to South Lake Tahoe (2012). Attending these shows is an event that just screams, "SUMMER" to us.

With a line-up which includes everything from Americana to Brazilian Funk to Hip-Hop and even Soul, there is something for each musical palette. I attend no matter the genre. It about just being there and the people who attend with me.
Cyndi and Steve are my Lakeview stalwarts. Yay!
Both bands performing were excellent. We witnessed the talents of the headliner, Forrest Day, for a longer time.
I love their bio, "Based out of Oakland, Forrest Day is a 5 piece band that's been performing concerts around the country for almost a decade. It's a true rags to riches story, but without any money. New album in the works, shows being booked, this wonka boat is showing no signs of slowing..."

High on the Why I Love This So Much List is the people-watching. This guy has danced his heart out since Day 1. I anticipate him being there and he never disappoints.
The welcoming spirit allows attendees to be whoever they are.
These guys, part of a larger group of men in what seems their wives' bikini bottoms, had the entire audience chuckling. They clearly have no qualms about their attire. Hysterical.

Here's a 30 second peek at all the fun to be had on a South Lake Tahoe Thursday night. And while we left before the sunset, the evening held all the magic it has for the last 13 summers. What a blast!

"The summer night is
like a perfection of thought."
