Apples & Art...

The apple has been a Sonoma County agricultural staple for more than 200 years. How fun to be able to begin our day gathering this historic fruit.

I love this little guy's expression.

Our afternoon was spent at the Occidental Center for the Arts (OCA), a nonprofit organization which provides diverse, high-quality arts and cultural events for west Sonoma County and the neighboring communities.
We were there for the current Watercolor Exhibit to "Enjoy watercolors by Sonoma County artists in this fine exhibition!" My son's mother-in-law has her first public display of her talents here. What fun.
Steve Fowler, Vice President of OCA, visited and helped to make this event feel even more special.
I've included some of my favorite works for you to understand the immense, and diverse, talent this little village possesses. Wow.

Thomas Merton said it best, "Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time."
