Life on the Farmette...

We have returned to Virginia to babysit my brother and sister-in-law's home while they are celebrating their birthdays in Venice. Below are photos of just a few members of the menagerie that has been left in our care.

For the next five days, we get to harvest eggs from EIGHT chickens. Yum.

We get to feed two precious bunnies.
We will be walking three dogs and caring for one elusive cat.

“Cultivators of the earth are the most valuable citizens.
They are the most vigorous, the most independent,
the most virtuous, and they are tied to their country
and wedded to its liberty and interests by the most lasting bonds.”

When we lived in North Carolina we had hens too! Prepare yourself as with only 4 hens we had enough eggs to eat, supply the local B&B and give to the local caterer! Cyndy

I NEED to hold that bunny. I would find the elusive cat and let you take care of everything else. All the critters were very cute though. Hope you enjoyed those fresh eggs. It's making me hungry for breakfast food just writing about it.
