Albuquerque Part 2: Breaking Bad

I don't know if I should admit this but I am as addicted to the television show Breaking Bad as its characters are to the Meth the show is about. And since the show was filmed here, a tour really is in order. If you haven't seen the show, this post won't make much sense.

A must stop is at a store in Old Town called the Candy Lady. Debbie, the owner, was approached by the Breaking Bad’s prop department to produce an edible show prop for first season. The rest is history.
Breaking Bad is big business here. This is a replica of the RV the two main characters use to 'cook' meth. Fans can pay $75 each for a tour of all the sites and lunch in a restaurant depicted in the show. I was beyond excited when it appeared on our self-guided adventure. It is parked in front of the home of the main character, Walter White.
Yes, I am certain the owners regret making the decision to have their home used in filming but I delighted in seeing it.
This is the home of Jesse Pinkman, the other main character. A lot of really interesting happenings went on here (in the show). Wild to think about.
This location was only a minor one involving a shoplifted tiara but we passed by it and thought, "Hey, that's the store!"
The Crossroads Motel, nicknamed by character Hank Schrader "The Crystal Palace", due to being mostly populated by junkies in the show. "The Palace" has been featured many times throughout the series.
There was an important scene filmed at the Nuclear Museum's temporary location. This is its permanent one but I'm including it anyway.
While we didn't hit all the filming locations, we felt we did a pretty good job. We did see a lot of the town and we will watch the remaining seasons with more knowledge and probably a lot of "Oh man we saw that place in Albuquerque!" Fun stuff.

Eric and I have seen all the episodes. It is totally addicting. And one of the first TV shows I have "been into" since Seinfeld! I like seeing the pics. I would totally do the Breaking Bad Roadtrip.
