Our Amazing Disney Day...

As most know, Disneyland is one of my most favorite places.

I went, for the first time, in 1966 and my memories are happy ones.
In 1981, my friend, Annie, worked at Disneyland so we went often.
Today, our friend, Laura, met us and generously signed us into the Park.  It could not have been a more perfect day.  Light crowds, blue skies and an enthusiastic companion!  My son loves Disneyland, too.
Photos with the characters is one of my 'musts'.  Since childhood, I have viewed them as some of my friends.
Ultimately, we wanted to experience Cars Land at California Adventure. "Start your engines! Zoom through the desert landscape of Cars Land, inspired by the Disney•Pixar movie Cars."
We have not been here since this Park was redesigned and rededicated, "To all who come to this place of dreams, welcome. Disney California Adventure celebrates the spirit of optimism and the promise of endless opportunities, ignited by the imagination of daring dreamers such as Walt Disney and those like him who forever changed- and were forever changed by- The Golden State. This unique place embraces the richness and diversity of California... Its land, its people, its stories and, above all, the dreamers it continues to inspire."
As only Disney can do, this Land made us feel we were right in the movie, Cars.  The attention to detail was not lost on us.  We loved it all.

How fun to have a Racer 5 Beer at a Disney park.  It seemed to fit the environment perfectly.

How beautiful it was as the sun set on Buena Vista Street. This area perfectly captures the spirit of Los Angeles from 1923 (the year Walt Disney arrived).

Nighttime is the most magical time to be at a Disney Park. We had to be in California Adventure to see all the neon illuminated. Our day was absolutely ideal. We rode all the attractions we had wanted to and saw all we had hoped to see. Many unforgettable memories were made. I'm a happy girl.
