Life...
Our last few days have been ones that did not demand photographs but were quite interesting, none-the-less.
We began yesterday with the all too familiar walk to La Polizia and immigrazione office. This story is too long to write here, just know that we have, and continue to, "jump through hoops" to secure our stay here. As I always say to my boys, "Anything worth having is worth working for."
After the bureaucracy, we volunteered at the art exhibition. It was an intensely rainy day with very few visitors but the gallery was warm and there is a huge window from where to sit and watch the world go by.
The fountain, I'm photographed drinking from, is outside that window in Piazza Mercato, one of Spoleto's central squares. It was once the site of the Roman Forum. The interesting fountain was built between 1746-1748 and is the spot that everyone drinks from. Truly Italian.

The fountain picture is gorgeous! Do people fill up bottles there or just drink as you are? Where does the water come from? Local mountains?
I will be thinking good thoughts about you guys and your legal stay! Keep me posted! (Fred and I really want to stay with you next year!) :)
