Scenes of a Snowy Tahoe...
We concluded our Nevada explore right before a snowstorm arrived in Tahoe leaving a foot of the most beautiful, powdery whiteness.
We spent one day gleefully snowed in, delighting in watching Winter happen.
When it was over, bluebird skies appeared and we headed out into it all.
Birding with Jenny and Bob is always a Tahoe highlight.
And when a bald eagle is captured in flight, the day becomes even more amazing.
The day called for a Snow Angel to appear. The last time I made one of these was a decade ago, coincidently with Bob and Jenny, too. Wild.
On Friday, while walking home after an al fresco lunch with our friend, Sharon, we heard fantastic singing and had to stop at Lakeview Social.
The Connor Party (actually Jeff, solo) was exceptional and made us linger a bit.
With the sun out and a fire roaring, there wasn't much need to go any farther.
We will be looking up this group again. Such talent and so fun. We are officially fans.
Today we walked the almost 5 mile (r/t) path to Heavenly Village. It's opening day for skiing and though the gondola wasn't transporting skiers, there was enough people-watching to delight us for hours.
We dined on the patio of Base Camp Pizza, as we have since we moved to Tahoe. It always feels fabulous being a tourist in one's own town.
Tahoe continues to be my happy place. It truly has cast a spell over me.
