Special Edition Diva 5K: Temecula...

Our friend, Margaret, is a half marathoner, so when I saw this event while she's in town, we both agreed it was a must!

"This amazing 5K course was designed to bring you the best of Temecula.  If you are not yet ready for the 13.1 challenge but you are a running diva or a diva lover (for all the handsome casanovas), this race is is for you.  Enjoy a great run and an amazing and empowering experience or support the leading lady in your life!"
Steve captured the excitement of the race with this video of the start. Fun!
It was a diverse and delightful group of participants.
An added treat were the hot balloons, cheering us on (in their own special way).

We even had our own paparazzi on the course!


There were all kinds of special treats waiting for us as we crossed the finished line.


Margaret and I were in this race for the fun of it all. So how did I do? Hmm. I was #477 of the 646 entrants for the 5K. Of my age group, I was #54 of 77. At least I wasn't last. It wouldn't have mattered. It was a glorious day of Divaness. No complaints here.

Hmmm, were you thinking of margaritas when you started the race? I'm glad we had a rare sunny day for the event, but it had to be cold. Great swag and eye candy! When did you take the photo at the start with no one around?
