Tree Hugging Ancient Redwood Style..

For the next couple of days, we will be hanging with the Giants... the trees, not the baseball team. Our home is the serene Giant Redwoods RV Park, along the Eel River.

We spent our afternoon, exploring just a small portion of the Humboldt Redwoods State Park. This exceptional place contains some of the world's most majestic ancient redwood groves. The park encompasses over 53,000 acres, including 17,000 acres of old-growth coast redwoods. Tomorrow we will hit the ground running. I expect a great deal of tree hugging to happen.

The lovely Redwood Sorrel...
"The redwoods, once seen, create a vision that stays with you always...
they are not like any other tree we know,
they are ambassadors of another time."
-John Steinbeck

I think when hug the tree you are supposed to face it. You two are tree hug teasers!
:)
Redwoods are amazing. There is nothing like being right next to one.
Is that YOUR RV?? I didn't realize how quickly you would be using it after "the incident".
