Wanting an escape, Steve and I gathered B & C and headed to Chico. Steve attended college there and had not returned for an explore, so off we went. The posts about this weekend will be in parts. I think it will be easier to explain everything better.

Since there were four of us, we decided it would be ideal to rent a home for our two night stay. I fell in love with this Extraordinary Downtown Chico Home before I stepped foot in the door.

It was very accurately described: 

We are offering for the first time via Airbnb the independent upper level to our completely renovated Chico home while we travel and explore other areas. The upper level of our home provides a master suite, den (used as an additional bedroom if needed), full bath, spectacular kitchen and living areas, and spacious front and back patios with entries via either. The location of the home is ideal-3 blocks from the downtown area and 1 block from Bidwell Park.

Having a kitchen was a big bonus and this one was exceptional. We made most of our meals here.
Beautifully decorated and well appointed. We all loved this house.

We gave the kids the master bedroom and we slept on this inflatable mattress. It was incredibly comfortable. We were happy campers.
Dinners were on the back deck, overlooking the lush garden.

Breakfast was homemade monkey bread and coffee on the front porch.
It doesn't get much sweeter than this!
