Life in a Yurt...

In December, Travelzoo.com had a fabulous offer of a two night stay in a YURT near Yosemite. I jumped on it for a reunion with Leslie and her mom, Barbara.

For $149, plus taxes, we had a great stay, as described on the website, "one of our yurts will be one of your dearest memories of your visit to Yosemite. The perfect synthesis of the great outdoors and the comforts of home, our yurts are well-appointed, offering you comfort in a gorgeous natural setting."
"After a day at Yosemite, return home to a fully equipped kitchen, bath and living area, as you make plans to dine out in nearby Groveland or grill up something deck-side. Whatever you decide, you will sleep well after an evening stroll under the mountain stars and wake up refreshed in our beautiful valley."
The yurt was well appointed for our needs.
This was the view when we looked up from our beds.
Dinner was Italian and outdoors under the pines...very Yosemite-like.

After a walking tour of the quaint town of Groveland, the night was spent in our pajamas playing games. Oh the comfortableness of old friends!
