The Village of Lake George, NY

As we continue our path east, we ended our day at the Village of Lake George for its 15th Annual Oktoberfest.

Lake George is a popular resort town and glacial lake located in the southeastern Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. Known as the "Queen of American Lakes," the region spans about 32 miles long, reaches maximum depths of nearly 200 feet, and features more than 170 islands.
We were excited for a second opportunity to rock our German attire but it just didn't work out. This was a festival to visit for a bit and then move on to experience more of what Lake George had to offer.

We sampled some of the fare being offered at the Fest with actual dinner happening at Duffy's. With a view of the lake, live music, and a festive atmosphere we knew we chose well.
After dinner we delighted in just strolling along the lakeshore.
The ships were exciting to watch. "Step aboard one of the Lake George Steamboat Company's historic vessels and set sail on an unforgettable Lake George boat cruise. Operating for over 200 years, this beloved Lake George attraction offers a variety of boat tours, from relaxing sightseeing cruises to themed dinner cruises, and spectacular fall foliage tours. There’s no better way to experience Lake George from the water." We chose to experience Lake George from the water.

so just keep on rolling under the stars.”
