Clarifying My 'Introvert' Realization
Interestingly, of my 38 blogposts, documenting 51 days of exciting travels, it is my last post which has garnered the most comments from those who know me well. In the tally of my trip, I state that I made one realization, "I have slowly evolved into an introvert!"
By definition, an introvert is a person whose personality is characterized by a preference for quiet, solitude, and reflection, often finding energy from being alone or in small groups. An extrovert, on the other hand, is a person who enjoys social interaction, finds energy from being around people, and is often outgoing and talkative. As it turns out, I am now actually an "introverted extrovert," also known as an ambivert. This personality type exhibits both introverted and extroverted traits. They can enjoy social situations and thrive in groups, but they also need time alone to recharge and process their thoughts. Essentially, they are comfortable in both social and solitary environments.
After being on a cruise ship for 37 nights (with 6,000 extroverts), I realized that I have changed. The once up for anything Denise is now someone who seeks peacefulness and calm in order to renew. It was a unique realization. Don't get me wrong, I'm still game for anything super fun, I just need my alone time, too.

100% to this - I might even tend more to introvert - it’s a good awareness to have
