Sea-to-Sky Highway...

We left Vancouver for our second day of exploration. On a smoke-free day, there are few highways in the world with as much awe-inspiring scenery as the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Officially known as BC Highway 99, this legendary route from Vancouver to Whistler (and beyond) is a drive with incredible sights at just about every turn. It's also filled with fun stops, including outdoor destinations, cultural points of interest and historic sites.

We stopped here at Brandywine Falls which is considered a perfect stop for those traveling through the Squamish, Whistler area looking for a short walk to a spectacular falls. The trail starts from the parking lot and crosses a covered wooden bridge and train tracks before reaching the platform overlooking the magnificent view of the waterfall. The falls itself drops approximately 210 ft and the surrounding cavern features rockslides that have crumbled from the walls over hundreds of years.

The view to Daisy Lake was incredibly smoky but we all have good enough imaginations to realize its beauty.
This cool guy was sitting on the roof of our car. Wow.
We then headed to Whistler just to see what the Village is like during the summer.
We had a picnic lunch and watched the mountain bikers. So cool.

Wanting to visit a local place for a cold one, we stopped at Coast Mountain Brewing which opened its doors late summer 2016, joining an incredible craft beer scene right in beautiful British Columbia. Designed and built by the Winter family and friends, Coast Mountain focuses on complex, flavorful & sessionable beers. Initially brewing North American influenced ales and lagers, with a passion to explore beyond to historical recipes from traditional brewing regions across Europe.

We returned to Brandywine Falls Park for the stroll to the Bungee Bridge.

Often voted by Whistler locals as the most extreme activity in Whistler, Whistler Bungee provides an exhilarating, adrenaline filled rush that no other activity can compare to. Whistler Bungee gives thrill seekers an unforgettable experience by jumping 160 ft over the glacial fed Cheakamus River.

We stopped for dinner before heading back into the city at Mag's 99. "Mags 99 is a must try restaurant on your next visit to Squamish. With massive portions and delicious food cooked with care, fun and love. The restaurant has been a unique local favorite since the day it opened. The bright orange exterior can easily be spotted off the highway that runs between Vancouver and Whistler, making it the perfect stop for travelers as well. The festive decor, bright menus and bathroom graffiti will take your casual dining experience to a whole new level."

This was a great last day on our week long visit to Vancouver. Tomorrow, we head home and on our separate ways.

What's the jumper part of the Bungee Jumper? Is it just a really crazy scary high walking bridge that sways or something else?

Gorgeous waterfall, but WHAT! A picture of the train tracks, but not the covered wooden bridge.
