For a long overdue connection, we met Karen and David at the Safari Park for a quick interlude. Our itinerary was a simple one: ogle tigers, devour ice cream, and then leave for a scenic pause for wine. It was a huge success!
Orfila Vineyards and Winery is a boutique winery nestled in the picturesque San Pasqual Valley of Escondido, conveniently located on our way home. Founded in 1994 by Alejandro Orfila, a former Argentine ambassador, the winery has become a prominent figure in Southern California’s wine scene, celebrated for its artisanal, small-batch handcrafted wines. Orfila is particularly renowned for its Rhône-style varietals, which beautifully reflect the character of the land.And how's this as an end of the day view? What fun!
